Welcome to Seminar 106!

Ice Cream University’s One Day—  Getting Into The Incredible Ice Cream Business— The purpose of this educational workshop is to evaluate your concept and whether it makes sense for being in either the retail or wholesale frozen dessert business. If you think you can go into business without getting an education first about the in’s and out’s of how to do it and whether your ideas are valid and realistic, you are crazy!  This workshop will get you beyond the curve and help you understand it all.

Our Seminar Goals

At the Ice Cream University Culinary Center, we believe that hands-on learning is the key to success. This personalized educational experience is geared to teach you everything you need to know about getting into the gelato/ice cream business and/or expanding in ways you were just dreaming about.

This business workshop is the first-of-its-kind for educating prospective entrepreneurs about the three very specific roads you must travel to understand the frozen dessert retail and wholesale business and if it’s the right business for you.

  1. What is your concept and does it meet the reality test?
  2. Do you have the financial backing now or can you obtain it through loans, investors, and/or friends and family?
  3. Do you have the personal fortitude to take the risks involved, handle the responsibilities, and have the support of your family to take on this concept and grow your unique brand?

This seminar program has been organized to take you on a step-by-step journey so that when you  complete the day, you will feel confident about moving forward with your concept. If you can say to yourself that you have the passion and ability to take on the above challenges then participating in Ice Cream University's Seminar 106 will be the best first steps in gaining immediate practical KNOWLEDGE to turn your concept into reality.

Seminar 106 started out based on the needs of new entrepreneurs wanting to get answers on whether their concepts made sense and had loads of questions to ask and no one around to answer them. These were not questions on how to make a root beer float or how to scoop ice cream, but more important, how do I get started writing a business plan. If over the years we have succeeded at anything, it has been that our workshop is a clearinghouse on getting answers and pointing students in the right direction of where to go to get the answers. And, we do this in a common sense approach.

Come prepared to ask questions; tell us all about your concept; have loads of passion; and finally, have the patience to wait till your heart tells you- let’s implement this idea.

We teach from experience, we don’t sell. Our hands-on approach empowers our students to find success the hard way, seeking answers by visiting shops and seeing other concepts, not sitting in a chair listening to an instructor all day long.
