Our students came from different areas of the country, all eager to learn the art of making ice cream, gelato, sorbet and beautiful, sellable ice cream cakes. Each flavor we produced from scratch was “churned” into sweet creamy perfection. In COOL CAKES 101, we transformed these extraordinary frozen products into the most glorious cakes imaginable! Our mile-high LEMON MERINGUE ICE CREAM PIE was crowned with a stunning baked meringue topping and our DARK CHOCOLATE ECLIPSE was enrobed with a pure chocolate coating we made from scratch during the workshop. The students experimented with a variety of fabulous chocolate decorations and were introduced to techniques, ingredients and supplies which would help them to create their own line of unique desserts with a minimum of effort. Each student left with their own decorating kit, a cookbook signed by the authors/instructors, dozens of unique recipes and hundreds of creative ideas.
